Michelle Lin is a poet and cultural worker passionate about building loving and liberating spaces for LGBTQ+ artists and artists of color. She co-hosts We Won’t Move: A Living Archive, a podcast from Kearny Street Workshop featuring conversations with Asian Pacific American artists whose stories shape the movements and dreams of San Francisco and the Bay Area. She is the author of A House Made of Water (Sibling Rivalry Press, 2017), a lyrical examination on trauma and healing as a second generation daughter of immigrants. Emerging Arts Professionals/SFBA is a network focused on empowerment, leadership, and growth of next generation arts and culture workers in the San Francisco Bay Area through knowledge sharing, learning opportunities, and partnerships. By supporting today’s emerging models and mindsets, we hope to generate a path for individuals’ meaningful and sustainable work and to stimulate a vibrant, integrated, and evolving arts and culture sector.
