
Eva Silot Bravo (ella/she/her) is an Afro-Cuban cultural worker, author, educator, independent scholar and curator committed to amplifying female creative voices and centering Cuban, Caribbean and Afro-diasporic narratives within the African Diaspora. Based in the Bay Area, she shares her work through ongoing book talks while engaging with local cultural communities. Her book Cuban Fusion: The Transnational Cuban Alternative Music Scene (Palgrave Macmillan, 2024) explores Cuban transnational collaborations that generate new migrant and Afro-diasporic cultural legacies With over two decades of publications, podcasts, and cultural programming, Eva works to advance visibility, equity, and healing through diasporic cultural expression.
