Anna Lisa Escobedo is a visual artist, muralist, artivist, event producer, cultural worker, and networker. She was born in LA and has been residing in SF since 2008. Anna has been involved in numerous art projects and has collaborated with community-based organizations in the San Francisco (SF) Bay Area. Her work encompasses various visual, literary, and multicultural art projects, including the mural restoration of “Maestrapeace” at The Women’s Building. In 2014, she co-founded the Calle 24 Latino Cultural District and served as a board member for the non-profit, where she chaired the Cultural Arts and Assets Committee. Anna Lisa has also closely collaborated with various art-based non-profit organizations. Over the past four years, she was Senior Manager at Yerba Buena Center for the Arts (YBCA), where she led fellowship programs, guided the San Francisco Creative Corps program, and provided advisory support for the SF Guaranteed Income initiative. Anna Lisa is dedicated to creating pathways and fostering a sense of belonging that promotes inclusivity, safety, excitement, and storytelling.
