For this, our fourteenth year of Emergence, we counter scarcity narratives to map out and activate the abundant resources and power held within cultural communities. Join your fellow arts and culture workers and emergent leaders for our an in-person convening hosted at CAST in downtown San Francisco. Share, reconnect, and celebrate our inherent wealth on Monday, June 2nd, for Emergence 2025: Activating Abundance.

About Emergence
Emergence is the annual convening of the EAP network of arts & culture workers and provides a collaborative platform for the Bay Area workforce to connect, share ideas, and elevate their work and voices. EAP is committed to curating Emergence as a participatory experience that encourages deep connections and inquiries that are omnidirectional through generations, career levels, business models, and disciplines. Our goal is for you to leave with actionable next steps, as well as tangible tools and a strengthened network to support your work.
Emergence is at the heart of Art Workers Week, which honors the culture, labor, and value arts and culture workers contribute to our Bay Area ecosystem and the many networks, organizations, and collectives who hold space and provide us with resources and connection.
Lunch & Refreshments
Tea, water, and snacks will be provided throughout the event
A light lunch of salads and sandwiches will also be provided
Please note, snacks/lunches accommodating allergies and other specific food needs may not be available; if you have specific food restrictions, please plan to bring your lunch; if you have both a financial hardship and specific food needs, email reyna@emergingsf.org, and we can try to organize a meal option for you
Covid Safety & Expectations
Due to network demand, Emergence and EAP as an organization are returning to in-person gatherings amid the ongoing pandemic and navigating shifting safety and accessibility needs as we do so. Please note that there will be air purifiers and masks available on site. We encourage but do not require participants to mask, to accommodate folks with respiratory issues or hearing impairment needs. This year’s venue, Root Division, is a building with high ceilings, and we are capping the event to 40 attendees to allow for social distancing. We are very excited to gather, but please stay home if you feel sick! We keep each other safe.
EAP SF/BA Mission
Emerging Arts Professionals/SFBA is a network focused on empowerment, leadership, and growth of next generation arts and culture workers in the San Francisco Bay Area through knowledge sharing, learning opportunities, and partnerships. By supporting today’s emerging models and mindsets, we hope to generate a path for individuals’ meaningful and sustainable work and to stimulate a vibrant, integrated, and evolving arts and culture sector.
