Diana Li

Diana Li is a video artist and arts organizer. Born and raised in the United States to Chinese-Peruvian parents, Li channels her mixed diasporic background into her practice on multiple levels. As a multimedia artist, she works with video, performance and installation, experimenting with technology as a means to disOrient diasporic transmissions of memory and knowledge. As an organizer, she works with organizations like Kearny Street Workshop (KSW) and SoMapagmahal (youth photography mxntorship program) to cultivate empowering spaces for emerging artists. She served as a fellow under the Asian American Women Artists Association’s Emerging Curators Program in 2016, through which the Appendix Collective was formed, participated in KSW’s APAture: HERE and Root Division’s Introductions 2017, and recently received her MFA at San Francisco Art Institute.
